Job summary

lululemon is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join our Global Privacy Program. You will work with cross-functional partners to interpret privacy laws, advise on product and initiative risk, and help scale our privacy obligations across markets.

This role is based in Washington with a hybrid on-site schedule, requiring collaboration with APAC and China teams, incident response guidance, and ongoing regulatory monitoring.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or the equivalent.
• J.D. from an accredited institution; admission to the bar, or the ability to register as in-house counsel.
• 4 to 8 years of compliance experience; global and/or retail experience a bonus.
• Ability to interpret and provide guidance on laws, rules, and regulations.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to gather information and approvals for privacy compliance matters.
• Collaborate with global legal team across locations, including attorney and non-attorney personnel.
• Serve as primary contact supporting APAC and China Legal partners.
• Monitor for regulatory change, analyze changes, and oversee timely implementation.
• Conduct research related to privacy compliance for new product launches.
• Develop and implement best practices and policies with the global legal team.
• Provide direction during incidents and engagement of outside counsel.
• Work with the Privacy team on compliance execution, matter tracking, and reporting to leadership.
