Moderna is seeking a Principal Engineer, Drug Product to provide global technical leadership for sterile drug product processes across the manufacturing network, including filling, inspection, packaging, and labeling equipment. The role will establish global engineering standards and drive cross-site consistency in facilities, processes, and systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in engineering roles within pharma manufacturing.
• Experience with filling, inspection, labeling, and packaging equipment.
• Proven track record of global capital projects and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Technical Authority for drug product operations across sites.
• Provide SME guidance on primary/secondary packaging and related processes.
• Develop and uphold engineering standards for facilities and equipment.
• Oversee front-end engineering for capital projects and lifecycle stages.
• Ensure regulatory alignment and qualification activities (FAT/SAT,validation).
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in filling, closing and vision systems.
