Job summary

Tuvli, an Akima company, is seeking a Management and Program Analyst to support a DoS client in Washington, DC. The role focuses on analyzing legislation, preparing congressional materials, and coordinating reporting with State and USAID.

You will draft documents, track funding, and liaise with interagency partners in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment. An Active Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; master’s preferred in related fields and/or 2-5 years’ experience.
• Experience working with the Department of State, USAID, or Congress.
• English language (written and spoken) communications skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities in multiple locations, act decisively in daily work, deliver on deadline, and work well in a multi-cultural team environment.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and reviews relevant legislation, including reports and deadlines to assess its relevance to the crisis and its global impact.
• Drafts Congressional Reports, RFIs, Q&As, Talking Points, and other information for congressional engagements.
• Tracks Congressional reporting requirements with State and USAID bureaus to ensure requirements are met.
• Tracks press inquiries and collates information for public release after data clearance.
• Drafts funding approval memo packages and reprogramming approval memo packages.
• Tracks funding in areas such as funds requested, appropriated, allocated, obligated, and expended for reporting requirements.
• Drafts, collects and collates reports of outcomes from relevant appropriated funds.
• Reviews Operational Plans and Funding Memos and makes recommendations.
• Collates and analyzes foreign assistance policy data to harmonize information.
• Works with senior leaders on impactful messaging products for high-level discussions.
• Collaborates with IT and staff building tracking and reporting systems for State, USAID, GAO, and other bodies.
• Supports coordination with various bureaus and offices to provide leadership and guidance on foreign assistance resources.
