Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Physical Security Specialist for the ARGO team. You will lead global physical security assessments, define strategies, and advise leaders on security implications for AWS infrastructure expansion.

You’ll own end-to-end assessment lifecycles and develop tools to accelerate delivery across continents. You’ll travel up to 25% internationally, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and influence security decisions that shape AWS facilities and operations

Qualifications

• Experience in risk assessment and enabling organizations to make security decisions.
• Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership.
• Experience conducting physical security risk assessments across multiple infrastructure types or geographic regions using structured methodologies.
• 7+ years of experience in physical security assessment, physical security program management, or a closely related field.
• Bachelor's degree in security management, risk management, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive physical security assessments across varying facility types and geographic regions using desktop and field research.
• Define and maintain the overall physical security assessment strategy; ensuring methodologies stay current and consistently applied.
• Conduct security risk analysis for new and existing infrastructure; identifying vulnerabilities and developing risk reduction strategies.
• Develop and implement physical security control strategies balancing security requirements with operations.
• Build repeatable processes, tools, and mechanisms to increase speed and consistency of delivery.
• Communicate assessment findings and recommendations to executives and practitioners through reports and presentations.
• Lead project and program execution across the physical security portfolio; manage stakeholders and milestones.
• Coordinate transfer of physical security responsibility from project delivery teams to ongoing operations.
• Evaluate security implications of technology projects from a physical security perspective.
• Ability to travel internationally for up to 25% of the year.
