Job summary

CVS Health is offering a structured training path for U.S. non-accredited foreign graduates to complete U.S. internship hours and pursue pharmacist licensure while contributing to daily pharmacy operations in our NYC-area stores. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, SOP adherence, and patient-focused care.

You will work under a preceptor, with responsibilities spanning prescription processing, immunizations, and customer service, while preparing for licensure and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Foreign Graduate from a Non‑U.S. Accredited college in pharmacy and entering U.S. internship.
• FPGEC certification required for eligibility.
• Pharmacist licensure in the practicing state within 120 days of internship.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern/technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Follow all SOPs and pharmacy workflow to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Assist pharmacy team to provide empathetic patient service and counseling.
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers when needed.
• Maintain inventory activities and reconcile stock and returns as directed.
• Support immunizations and vaccination workflows as trained.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to staff, fostering a high-performing team.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws and CVS policies.
