Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Richardson, TX, is seeking a Global Commodity Engineer to lead PCB materials and supplier quality. The role requires coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, driving improvements, and managing complex parts to ensure quality across the supply chain.

You will travel up to 30% globally, collaborate with design and engineering teams, and contribute to high-speed PCB development and manufacturing processes. A strong background in APQP/PPAP practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes including high-speed design and laminate materials
• Audit experience or audit certifications is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external customers to drive ongoing quality improvement through DFM and New Part Qualification.
• Support NA Design Teams in development of leading-edge PCBs for high-speed networking applications.
• Build internal and external relationships to facilitate achievement of role accountabilities with suppliers, customers and internal service.
• Drive supplier quality improvement and supplier technical development as part of Celestica’s value chain.
• Regular audits for process compliance and evaluation of technical capability.
• Rapid on-site response for delivered quality issues and corrective action through an 8D process.
• Develop PCB supply base and evaluate and qualify new suppliers and complex technology parts.
