Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience managing and processing payroll for a mid-sized organization or equivalent accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems; detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening.
  • Technically savvy with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day payroll operations and ensure compliance.
  • Process biweekly US payroll and monthly international payroll; post to GL.
  • Develop long-term payroll strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Audit timesheets, tax, garnishments, benefits, and 401k deductions for accuracy.
  • Process garnishment paperwork and maintain records.
