Job summary

Topcon Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Payroll Manager to own end‑to‑end payroll, benefits, and compliance across the United States, Canada, and Australia. This hands‑on role requires deep Workday expertise and a strong focus on data integrity and regulatory adherence.

You will partner with HR and Finance, manage multi‑country payroll configurations in Workday, lead audits and process improvements, and drive accurate, timely payroll delivery while delivering an excellent employee

Qualifications

• Deep ownership experience managing payroll across the United States, Canada, and Australia, including complex regulatory and operational requirements.
• Hands-on experience with multi-country payroll operations and cross-border tax and compliance considerations.
• Experience configuring and managing Workday payroll and benefits administration, not just processing transactions.
• Ability to identify and resolve systemic payroll, benefits, and Workday issues with data integrity.
• Experience leading payroll audits, tax filings, reporting, benefits-related compliance activities and regulatory requirements across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll accuracy, compliance, and benefits administration across the United States, Canada, and Australia.
• Navigate multi-country payroll requirements ensuring accurate execution and consistent employee experience.
• Lead the resolution of complex payroll, benefits, and Workday issues by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Drive payroll and benefits operational excellence by establishing controls and improving processes across regions.
• Own Workday payroll configuration, integrity, and scalable support for employees across the regions.
• Lead evaluation, testing, and implementation of payroll system enhancements to meet evolving needs.
• Partner with HR and Finance, external payroll providers, and benefits brokers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support cross-functional partnership and reporting on payroll metrics.
