As a Global Payroll Manager in the Tech Services industry, you will be an integral part of our global team. Your primary function will be to manage and oversee our company's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This role requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the tech industry and who can implement innovative solutions to complex issues. You will be working closely with various departments, including HR and finance, to improve our payroll procedures and ensure our employees are compensated accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the operation of the global payroll department, ensuring everyone is paid accurately and on time.
  • Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments).
  • Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
  • Coordinate efforts with HR team to ensure correct employee data.
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Develop, implement and maintain systems that increase accuracy and improve efficiency in the payroll department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a multi-state payroll department.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
  • Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Payforce) and databases.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proven experience in implementation of payroll systems and procedures.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
