Job summary

Chainalysis seeks a Manager, Global Payroll to lead and hands-on operate US payroll and global EOR processes. You will manage payroll execution, provider relationships, compliance, and process improvements across ADP, Deel, Workday, Bswift, Fidelity, and related platforms.

You will coach Payroll Specialists, oversee data feeds from HRIS and benefits, and partner with People, Equity, Controllership, and Finance to scale payroll operations while maintaining controls and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant payroll experience with US payroll ownership.
• Prior people-management experience including coaching and development.
• Hands-on US payroll processing with ADP Workforce Now or similar.
• Experience with global EOR or multi-country payroll operations.
• Knowledge of US payroll tax administration, filings, payments and notices.
• Experience integrating payroll feeds from HRIS and benefits systems.
• Strong analytical ability to research and resolve payroll issues.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll operations across countries, populations, and providers.
• Own payroll calendars, cutoffs, funding readiness, and timelines.
• Process or review regular and off-cycle payrolls and hires/terminations.
• Review data feeds from HRIS, benefits, equity, and timekeeping systems.
• Coordinate tax administration, registrations, filings, and payments.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with payroll providers and EOR partners.
• Review results, invoices, and funding against Finance controls.
• Investigate discrepancies and elevate material risks as needed.
• Direct Payroll Specialists through coaching, workload, and development.
• Set expectations for ownership, documentation, and confidentiality.
• Partner with People, Equity, Controllership, and Finance to resolve issues.
• Build scalable practices through documentation and cross-training.
