Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking an AMR Payroll Compliance Lead to oversee global payroll compliance, employment taxation, and payroll audit activities. You will provide strategic guidance to partners as Apple expands across countries and tax jurisdictions.

In this role you will partner with Payroll Operations, HR Employee Relations, Benefits, Corporate Tax, and Legal to drive compliant, scalable solutions. A strong mobility tax background is a plus for hybrid/remote work scenarios.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in employment tax, payroll compliance, global mobility, or risk assurance (Big 4 or multinational experience preferred).
• Proven leadership in managing complex global payroll audits and business traveler compliance programs.
• BA/BS in Tax, Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Compliance & Advisory: Lead compliance for Benefit-in-Kind reporting, complex employment tax requirements, and global public holiday docs. Provide guidance on tax law changes.
• Audit Readiness & Risk Mitigation: Advise on regional payroll results to identify risks and improve processes.
• Audit Support & Risk Management: Partner with Payroll Operations, Finance, Corporate Tax, and Legal to support global payroll audits and compliance of procedures.
• Cross-Functional Execution & System Configuration: Explain employment tax requirements for payroll/time-tracking system configuration.
• Business Traveler Compliance (BTC) Tax Program Management: Oversee BTC tax program, manage 3rd-party tax vendor, align policy between BTC and Mobility.
• BTC Tax Execution: Review US shadow payroll calculations and oversee annual tax payments.
