Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist

The Role:

A Global Payroll and Compensation Specialist ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries and supports compensation strategies. They navigate complex tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies to maintain seamless payroll operations. They analyze compensation structures, benchmark salaries, and help ensure competitive pay practices. Collaborating with HR, finance, and external providers, they resolve payroll discrepancies and optimize processes, ensuring compliance and employee trust globally.

Location:

This role is remote in Denver, CO, with quarterly travel to our San Francisco, CA office.

Responsibilities:
  1. Own and process all payrolls, including biweekly, monthly RSU releases, quarterly commissions, and monthly European payroll.
  2. Lead vendor evaluation for international payroll.
  3. Manage payroll-related agency reporting and audits for SOX and external audits.
  4. Assist with compensation projects, role pricing, and analysis.
  5. Partner with Finance for payroll audits and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in global payroll and compensation analysis and benchmarking.
  • Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
  • Understanding of multi-state laws, taxes, and their impact on reporting.
  • Familiarity with compensation frameworks and salary benchmarking tools (e.g., Radford, Compensia, Pave).
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Must be located in Denver, CO.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading or participating in payroll implementations or vendor assessments.
Salary:

For Denver residents, the annual salary range is $120,000 - $130,000 plus bonus. Final offers vary based on experience, location, and other factors.
