Role Summary
Splunk is at the forefront of digital resiliency, leveraging AI and collaborating with cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are co-innovating to enhance security and observability for our joint customers. We seek a Principal Global Partner Tech Lead to strengthen our partnership with AWS and other Hyperscalers, guiding customers through their AI, Cloud, and Digital Resiliency journeys. This role demands strong technical leadership, deep knowledge of Splunk and Cisco solutions, and familiarity with AWS services, GTM strategies, and ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Develop a co-innovation technical strategy with Amazon and other Hyperscalers, collaborating with Product & Technology teams and Global Platforms.
- Build and nurture relationships with senior technical executives across Amazon, Splunk, and Cisco.
- Lead the AWS/Hyperscalers technical POD within Splunk, including defining certifications and career paths.
- Work with sales, solutions architects, partners, and customers to craft solutions aligned with business outcomes.
- Demonstrate thought leadership through conferences, blogs, whitepapers, and solutions presentations.
- Design and develop solutions using AWS/Hyperscaler services and Splunk products.
- Identify and coordinate with partner teams to drive solution strategies and launch new assets.
- Partner with enablement teams to educate AWS field teams on Splunk solutions and their integration into AWS architecture.
- Collaborate with marketing to identify tactics and resources for solution deployment and opportunity generation.
- Engage with AWS solution architects and professional services to integrate Splunk early in solution design.
- Establish processes and documentation for technical interactions with AWS development teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Over 10 years of sales or business development experience in the software/technology industry, preferably with AWS.
- At least 3 years of implementation, design, or consulting experience in applications and cloud infrastructure.
- Over 8 years of experience in technology areas such as software development, cloud computing, or systems engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in developing and maturing partner practices.
- Minimum 5 years of AWS-related design, implementation, or consulting experience.
- Proven ability in cloud architecture, databases, networking, and technology sales.
- Experience in security, observability, and analytics solutions, including SIEM, SOAR, and data lakes.
- AWS certifications such as Solution Architect or Developer are highly preferred.
- Experience supporting partners and building practice capabilities.
- Passion for cloud migration strategies and risk mitigation.
- Deep understanding of security and observability service offerings from various ISVs.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in enterprise contract negotiations.
- Technical expertise in emerging technologies like open source, virtualization, and SaaS models.
- Ability to craft joint value propositions and establish thought leadership in the industry.
- Broad technology experience across cloud, data analytics, networking, security, and infrastructure.
- Experience with continuous integration/deployment concepts.
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent in business or related fields is a plus.
- Open to USA remote work; willingness to travel as needed.
