Job summary

Performance Health is seeking a Manager of Global Packaging in Akron, OH to lead, develop, and support a team of packaging professionals and interns. You will balance leadership with hands-on project execution, ensuring timely, on-budget results.

The role requires managing 4+ team members, coordinating across Packaging, Product, and Graphics Engineering, and driving regulatory and quality activities with FDA/ISO guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• 7+ years packaging engineering, development, or operations experience.
• 3+ years leadership or people management experience.
• 7+ years managing global suppliers and packaging sourcing.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional projects in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from conception to delivery, managing priorities and timelines.
• Guide cross-functional teams including suppliers, Sourcing, Product Management, RA/QA.
• Develop packaging specifications, testing protocols, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, ISO, MDR, and related standards.
• Drive cost reductions, improve delivery, and advance packaging innovations.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to the team.
