Global Operations (GO) teams manage the critical systems and multiple platforms needed to maintain the enterprise's market-leading positions in key segments. By performing vital functions throughout the end-to-end lifecycle of products, services, and client transactions, we help deliver seamless client outcomes while maintaining a strong risk and control environment.
These activities include client onboarding, trade validation, settlement, servicing, reporting, reconciliations, risk management, process improvement and change delivery.
Our Summer Analyst Programme in Chester is designed to provide you with a unique experience within Global Operations. Opportunities are available in the following teams, with alignment based on your interests, development opportunities, and current business needs:
Provides end-to-end operational support for Global Markets sales, trading and underwriting activities across securities, loans, and derivative products. Our teams manage critical activities throughout the trade lifecycle, including trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, collateral management, and client servicing, helping deliver seamless market execution.
Enables business performance through strategic change delivery, governance, regulatory reporting, and operational excellence initiatives that strengthen controls, improve processes and support transformation across the organisation.
Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on‑the‑job training, virtual spotlight sessions, Executive Speaker Series, networking events, and hands‑on project work, with mentorship throughout.
As a Summer Analyst, you will be aligned to one team based on your interests and current business needs. Your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full time employment to commence in July 2028; some lines of business may also offer the opportunity of a January or April start date. You must be available to join on one of these start dates if offered, unfortunately we are unable to offer deferrals
