Job summary

TalentCompass is seeking a Controls Commissioning Onsite Supervisor to lead and supervise onsite commissioning for automated material-handling solutions and production lines. You will coordinate with controls, electrical engineering, installation, and project management teams to ensure timely project delivery at customer sites.

The role requires 5+ years in controls engineering with leadership experience, strong PLC/HMI knowledge, and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on controls engineering experience.
Experience in project management or leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMIs in industrial automation.
Ability to read electrical drawings and AutoCAD diagrams.
Experience across full design-to-production lifecycles.
Willingness to travel 90–100% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Lead onsite commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested and verified per project requirements.
Act as primary liaison between controls engineering, electrical engineering, installation, and project management.
Coordinate commissioning plans with the Controls Project Manager to maintain timelines.
Ensure compliance with OSHA procedures, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform system testing, including I/O checks, functional testing and full operation verification.
Track test results and modifications for turnover and client handover.
Provide project updates, conduct client walkthroughs and address stakeholder questions.
Travel extensively to client sites globally.
