Merck, a leader in pharmaceutical innovation, seeks a Director of Strategic Forecasting Insights in Rahway, NJ with global cross-functional responsibilities. You will lead development of strategic forecasts for multiple products, interpret implications, and communicate insights to marketing and finance to drive strategy.

You will mentor a team across forecasting, market research, and data science, partnering with Global and Regional Marketing, Market Access, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10+ years delivering complex analytical projects in pharma/biotech.
• Experience developing forecast models and extracting insights.
• Direct line management experience preferred; lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to navigate a highly matrixed org and manage ambiguity.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine forecast modeling approaches for assets/indications.
• Collaborate with Marketing Engagement, Market Research, Data Science, and Payer Analytics to plan insights.
• Lead forecasting cycles aligned with enterprise forecasting process.
• Guide coding experts to implement forecasting flow and explain results.
• Partner with business to align inputs, outputs, and insights per cycle.
• Build and mentor a high-performing forecasting team.
• Influence across US and India teams to operate as One Team.
• Communicate forecasting processes and insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Drive problem-solving around key business questions.
• Travel up to 20%.
