Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking an experienced NPI Process Engineering Manager to lead global NPI activities from Schaumburg, IL. This role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, process development, and a structured problem-solving approach to drive quality and efficiency in high-speed interconnect manufacturing.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electromechanical or Mechanical).
12+ years of Process Engineering, Process Qualification, or New Product Introduction within electronics or connector manufacturing.
At least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of data-driven analysis – SPC, Six Sigma.
Experience using quality tools (Poka Yoke, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC charts) and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate activities for the globally distributed NPI teams.
Participate in Design Reviews and provide feedback on components and assembly (DFM).
Collect process data and analyses, and provide recommendations to optimize assembly with the ME team.
Support transfer to production after development documents and qualifications are completed.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and customer complaints.
Mentor and lead a team, fostering accountability and excellence.
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory documentation as needed.
