Job summary

Penumbra, Inc. is seeking a senior clinical operations leader to direct global and regional programs from initiation through close-out. You will mentor a team of Study Managers, ensure resource alignment, and drive collaboration across Regulatory, Medical, R&D, Data Management, and Safety functions.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, vendor management experience, and a strategic, hands-on leadership style. Expect international travel up to 20% and a dynamic MedTech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
• 7+ years in clinical research or Clinical Operations, including 5+ years in MedTech, medical devices, biotech, or pharma.
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience with proven track record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee global and regional clinical programs from start-up to close-out.
• Coach and develop a team of Study Managers; plan resources across projects.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, Biostatistics, Data Management, Safety, Marketing, and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with KOLs, investigators, CROs, Core Labs, and external partners.
• Oversee study timelines, data reviews, safety activities, regulatory submissions, and governance meetings.
