Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Network Operations Manager to oversee and scale our global corporate network infrastructure. You will bridge strategic design with day-to-day operations, ensuring uptime, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, and VPN environments.

You will lead vendor relations, drive 24/7 on-call coverage, and guide cross-functional teams through critical scale initiatives, including identity-driven security and subsidiary integrations.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in network engineering/administration with 3-5 years in leadership or PM roles.
• Experience in multi-site or complex corporate environments and after-hours on-call readiness.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling, and modern IAM/identity-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee global LAN/WAN/Wireless/VPN infrastructure for maximum availability and security.
• Lead device lifecycle management with vendors (Arista, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto).
• Manage on-call rotations, incident response, and ongoing documentation.
• Drive M&A integration roadmaps and ensure site deployments align with business timelines.
• Implement and enforce Zero Trust IAM, secure access, and compliance with SOC2/CMMC.
• Mentor junior admins, help desk staff, and contract teams.
