Job summary

Google seeks a Network Implementation Engineer to drive deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with PMs, engineers, vendors, and field teams to ensure successful, scalable, and cost-efficient networks.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership from installation to decommissioning, with focus on process improvements, automation, and mentoring junior staff across data centers and metro POPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
• Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
• Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.

Skills
