Selby Jennings is seeking a Senior Analyst for its corporate accounting team in New York. The role centers on leading the month-end close, conducting financial analysis, and supporting accounting operations across domestic and international entities.

You will partner with finance and business stakeholders to review results, implement accounting controls, and drive process improvements, including automation initiatives using SAP and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, account analysis, and controls.
• Proven analytical mindset with experience reviewing large data sets and supporting decision-making.

Responsabilités

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of results.
• Review P&L activity with stakeholders, analyze variances, and ensure proper application of policies.
• Drive process improvements for close optimization, reconciliations, and reporting consistency.
• Support international entity reviews and collaborate with global accounting teams on compliance and automation projects.
