Job summary

Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks senior scientists/advisors to lead manufacturing science activities for solid oral dosage forms. The role focuses on integrating commercialization plans across development, CM&C, and manufacturing sites to ensure robust product launches.

The candidate will drive technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and regulatory readiness, while mentoring teams and guiding process improvements for dry dosage forms.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, and/or PhD in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or related science.
• 7–10 years of direct experience in Oral Solid Dose Form Manufacturing and Development/Commercialization.
• A minimum of 3 years of commercial manufacturing support (post process validation) of solid oral dosage forms.
• Experience across multiple areas, unit operations, and platforms related to dry products development, commercialization, and GMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manufacturing TS/MS representative to integrate commercialization work plans across groups.
• Leverage experience to anticipate commercial manufacturing challenges for new oral products.
• Ensure experiments are rigorously designed and use first principles to guide approaches.
• Serve as Global Molecule Steward for select solid oral dosage form drug products.
• Lead manufacturing process transfers between Lilly and external sites; support external manufacturing as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on product plans and milestones with risk mitigation.
• Author technical reports and sections of regulatory submissions; support regulatory reviews.
