Samsung Electronics America, based in Plano, TX, manages expatriate onboarding and ongoing support for expats across the Americas. The NA SSC HR team handles pre-boarding, on-boarding, and offboarding processes, including housing, visa, and banking arrangements, in a dynamic, on-site environment.

The role supports expats throughout relocation, with a focus on improving the expatriate experience, data management, and coordination with multiple internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide CONCIERGE SERVICES to expats for US onboarding and daily needs.
• Provide ORIENTATION AND ONBOARDING SUPPORT upon arrival, including housing assistance.
• Coordinate and support internal onboarding and visa documentation and banking needs.
• Plan and coordinate year-round expat events and seminars.
• Maintain ongoing communications with expats regarding subsidies, housing and immigration matters.
• Support wind-down processes for departing expats and transition back to Korea.

In North America Shared Service Center (NA SSC HR), we are responsible for providing a full range of support services to all expatriates (expats) and foreign nationals within the organization in USA. This individual will be required to communicate daily with all levels of expats while liaising with the North America Regional Office to provide support of their pre-boarding/onboarding/and offboarding in USA.Role and ResponsibilitiesProvide CONCIERGE SERVICES to Expats for their US onboarding to support ONSITE APPEARANCE to facilitate US Govt Doc such as DMV, SSA, USCIS, Bank, etc.Provide ORIENTATION AND OTHER ONBOARDING SUPPORT to expats upon arrival, including assistance with housing and other personal mattersSupport as EVENT PLANNER TO FACILITATE AND COORDINATE YEAR-ROUND EVENTS for expats including in-house or external seminars and recreation activitiesReview and prepare expats pre-boarding planning systemMaintain on-going communications with expats regarding various subsidies, visa, housing and any other matters that they may require assistanceReview and process internal administration in NA database. Troubleshoot relevant issues as necessary.Conduct individual orientation for new expats to explain for the completion of required forms, opening of bank accounts, housing, onboarding, VISA examiner questions,Prepare organization and external service providers for the arrival of expatsProvide active support to departing expats related to their wind-down in the USProvide support to expatriates as required and as requestedProactively seek out ways in which to improve the expatriate experienceOwn the transition process from US to Suwon, Korea support and related ad-hoc as necessaryPrimary back-up for all expat related matters including but not limited to I-9 support, onboarding, benefits, transition, relocation, mobility program, and data managementConduct regularly scheduled training to TA population for expat mattersOwn expat data management and reporting to C-suiteSkills and QualificationsQualificationsMinimum 4 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 2 years of related experienced and a Master’s DegreeKnowledge of Korean business culture, etiquette, and practices is a plus.Experience in administering and applying corporate policies at the individual level.Strong interpersonal verbal/written skills; especially in person, on a client site.
