The Global Mobility Senior Specialist owns and oversees the firm's day-to-day immigration, international travel, cross-border work, and global mobility programs and activities. This role combines program ownership, project leadership, compliance, stakeholder consultation, and process development to support international business needs and the movement of talent in a consistent, compliant, and people-focused manner.

Your Role.
  • Manage employment-based immigration programs and cases, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, TN, L-1, PERM, and other work authorization processes in partnership with immigration counsel.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for immigration matters, overseeing case coordination, documentation, deadlines, renewals, compliance requirements, and stakeholder communications.
  • Oversee immigration and I-9 compliance activities, including audits, recordkeeping, remediation efforts, public access files, and documentation management.
  • Review international travel and cross-border work, and coordinate business visas, work permits, and other global mobility activities to address immigration, tax, payroll, employment, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead global mobility initiatives from intake through completion, including international assignments, secondments, exchanges, remote work arrangements, extensions, and repatriation activities.
  • Support international expansion and new-country initiatives by coordinating HR-related compliance workstreams across payroll, benefits, HRIS, tax, legal, vendors, data privacy, and other operational functions.
  • Establish and continuously improve global mobility policies, governance frameworks, service standards, procedures, training materials, and knowledge resources.
  • Manage program operations, including vendor relationships, budgets, invoice processing, reporting, calendars, and operational controls.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor case activity, compliance obligations, costs, risks, workload, and overall program performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to staff, leaders, and business stakeholders by providing guidance on global mobility matters, monitoring regulatory developments, and recommending process, policy, and compliance improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in global mobility, immigration, HR compliance, legal operations, workforce administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting employment-based immigration processes and work authorization programs, including collaboration with immigration counsel and external service providers.
  • Experience with international assignments, secondments, cross-border work arrangements, business travel, or other global workforce programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities, detailed documentation, complex workflows, and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive outcomes while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across HR, payroll, tax, legal, and business teams.
  • Experience developing or improving processes, policies, procedures, playbooks, training materials, reporting, dashboards, or other operational resources.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, research, problem-solving, and consultation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations, exercise sound judgment, take ownership of outcomes, and make well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, case management, project tracking, reporting, or collaboration tools; experience with Workday and SharePoint preferred.
  • Professional services, consulting, accounting, law firm, or multinational organization experience preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training, such as SHRM, HRCI, Worldwide ERC/GMS, project management, or process improvement credentials, are preferred.

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
