Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mineral Processing Practice Leader to drive growth, technical excellence, and market leadership of our mineral processing business. This senior role combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen and a passion for developing people and practices, offering global reach and autonomy.

You will define strategy, lead an interdisciplinary team, and shape projects across base metals, precious metals, and critical minerals while mentoring the next generation of processing

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's in Mining Eng or related field with 12+ years in metallurgical/mineral processing and 4+ years leadership.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Metallurgical/Chemical Eng or equivalent.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing design and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the Mineral Processing practice.
• Define technical vision and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and metallurgists.
• Drive business development across base metals, precious metals, critical minerals, and industrial minerals markets globally.
• Act as a recognized SME and mentor the next generation of processing engineers.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline

Master’s or PhD in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
