Job summary

Olympus Corporation of the Americas is seeking a Project/Program Manager within the Global Strategy & Operations function of the Medical & Scientific Affairs department. The role centers on planning and executing MSAs projects, managing scope, milestones, and resources, and ensuring adherence to budgets and processes across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of project/program management experience with cross-functional leadership.
• Industry experience in multiple phases and roles preferred.
• Proven business process optimization experience.
• Experience in medical/technical writing, change management, or executive presentations is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, change management, and communications.
• Proficiency with PM tools: MS Project, Smartsheet and Visio.
• Must be able to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drives continuous process excellence and improvement initiatives.
• Define project scope and objectives with SMEs.
• Predict and manage resources to meet objectives.
• Develop and enforce resource management across the portfolio.
• Prepare and track budgets and costs across the portfolio.
• Develop detailed project schedules and work plans.
• Provide regular stakeholder updates on strategy and progress.
• Manage contracts with vendors and communicate deliverables.
• Apply industry best practices throughout project execution.
• Lead risk management and mitigation planning.
• Measure project performance and identify improvements.
• Support prioritization of global projects based on business needs and resources.
• Develop process feasibility, workflows, and benefit assessments.
• Document and revise quality documents, maps and training materials.
