Job summary

Hatch in Tampa, FL is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Engineering Intern to support the Project Delivery Group. Reporting to the PDG, you will collaborate with offices globally while based in our Tampa office.

You will assist with engineering calculations, prepare specifications and drawings, and contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams. The role requires pursuing a mechanical engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hydraulic modeling, stress analysis, equipment sizing and tank analyses to meet requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications based on input received.
• Prepare data sheets based on input received.
• Prepare and/or review project standard specifications and design criteria.
• Prepare or provide input to 2D mechanical drawings.
• Prepare and update engineering lists.
