Job summary

IT8 is a global engineering company seeking a Mechanical Installation Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems on project sites. You will read blueprints, align equipment, and coordinate with engineers to ensure safe, on-time installation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial mechanical installation or related field.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing installation preferred.
• Degree/technical education in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, layouts, blueprints and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment at project sites.
• Install automation equipment, conveyors, fixtures, tooling and assembly-line components as per specs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Inspect and align equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Read drawings and blueprints; interpret layouts and specs.
• Coordinate with electrical/automation teams to ensure safe installation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery.
• Document installations, modifications, and repairs.
