Job summary

Dana is seeking a Material Planner in Kentucky to optimize material flow and inventory across production schedules. You will coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and accurate data in SAP or Oracle.

You will analyze forecasts and inventories to keep production running smoothly and partner with vendors to resolve issues, contributing to overall efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production schedules and forecasts to determine material needs and ensure timely availability.
• Maintain optimal inventory by tracking usage, identifying shortages or excesses, and initiating replenishment orders.
• Work closely with purchasing teams and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve supply issues.
• Input and manage material planning data in systems like SAP or Oracle to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse teams to align material flow with production goals and minimize downtime.
