Job summary

Daimler Truck AG is seeking a Program Manager to lead the DDC Material Cost Optimization (MatCo) program, coordinating purchasing, engineering, controlling, cost engineering, quality, logistics, and global stakeholders to drive sustainable cost reduction and financial realization.

The role emphasizes governance, transparent reporting, and leadership of cross-functional teams from idea generation through implementation, with a strong focus on strategic cost-down initiatives across the DTNA/DT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience.
• 3+ years of project or program management leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in automotive or powertrain environments.
• Understanding of tariffs, trade compliance, USMCA/regional value content, localization, and total landed cost considerations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central DDC Procurement project lead for the Material Cost Optimization program across local and global functions.
• Establish and maintain program structure, governance, meeting cadence, decision pathways, and workstreams.
• Lead recurring working-team, steering, and management review prep; document decisions, risks, dependencies, actions and drive closure.
• Coordinate Procurement activities with the global Powertrain organization and transfer standards, tools, and best practices into the DDC model.
• Provide escalation and decision support when measures are at risk due to funding, capacity, or cross-functional dependencies.
