AFL, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic cable, connectivity, and related services, seeks a Market Development Director to shape long-term growth through market intelligence and go-to-market strategy.

This role leads global market sizing and segmentation, partners with Product Management and Engineering, and drives differentiated value propositions across regions. Travel internationally as needed and report to the business unit leader.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in market research and business analytics.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
• Experience in optical networking, telecommunications, or related technical acumen.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define global market segments and competitive landscape; identify growth drivers and dynamics.
• Develop segmentation models based on customer needs, behaviors, and value drivers.
• Lead go-to-market strategy, messaging, and value propositions across regions.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Technology, and Sales to align strategy with business objectives.
• Provide market insights and intelligence to inform strategic planning and roadmaps.
