Job summary

Lazard is seeking a Market Data Specialist to join the Global Information Services (GIS) function in New York. This role will manage market data agreements, coordinate with bankers, and oversee a portfolio of vendors across geographies, with emphasis on AI-enabled platforms and licensing.

You will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to ensure data licenses are fit for use and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing market data, external content, or online databases in financial services.
• Experience with major data platforms (FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG, PitchBook).
• Understanding AI-enabled features on data platforms and licensing implications.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal oversight.
• Proven negotiation and influence in vendor conversations.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of market data agreements.
• Enhance tool/content value for the business.
• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Evaluate new data products and licensing implications for use in workflows.
• Identify and remediate data licensing risk with legal/compliance/tech teams.
