Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Princeton, NJ seeks a Director of Innovation (Innovative Models & External Partnerships) to drive new pricing and access concepts within Global Pricing & Health Systems Analytics. You will shape early-stage models, turn signals into pilot-ready opportunities, and build external partnerships to accelerate development across the innovation lifecycle.

Partner with AI and digital execution teams, work with Access Strategy, Pricing, and Legal, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, MS, PharmD, or equivalent advanced degree preferred (or comparable experience).
• 10+ years in pharma/healthcare with Market Access, Pricing, Commercialization, or related areas.
• Experience in innovative access or pricing models and external partnerships.
• Strong understanding of market access ecosystem dynamics (PBMs, payer behavior, policy trends).
• Ability to translate external signals into actionable strategic opportunities.
• Experience managing or working with external partners and vendors.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to structure ambiguous challenges.
• Excellent executive communication skills.
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the innovation pipeline from intake to portfolio shaping and leadership-ready recommendations.
• Develop and pressure-test new pricing and access models with feasibility criteria and pilot handoff.
• Identify external stakeholders to inform disruption opportunities and accelerate pilot readiness.
• Translate market signals into actionable innovation opportunities with clear links to concept development.
• Develop governance inputs for annual alignment and quarterly reviews with risk tradeoffs and success measures.
• Collaborate across Access Strategy, Pricing, GPGA, Legal, Digital/AI, and senior leadership to shape viable concepts.
