Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Sr. Specialist — Marine Scheduler to manage domestic and international vessel movements, forecast demand, and optimize marine supply costs across a network of terminals.

You will work with Sunoco’s Trading team and external counterparties to deliver cost-efficient supply plans, ensure compliance, and develop contingency strategies in a dynamic energy logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics/business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to negotiate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Available during international business operations and be on call 24/7.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (written and verbal), computer skills, and analytical skills.
• Thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Vessel / Barge scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and schedule vessel/barge movements for assigned terminals.
• Coordinate with trading, sales and external counterparties to optimize imports/exports.
• Resolve product supply issues arising from planned or unplanned events.
• Ensure compliance with vessel/barge marine operations and relevant rules.
• Maintain and analyze marine expense metrics, voyage logs, and budgets.
• Act as primary contact for vessel-related operations (ship, broker, agents, traders).
• Collaborate with trading to secure adequate purchases/sales to meet supply needs.
• Optimize the supply chain to reduce logistics costs across routes and modes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
