Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is offering a Global Marine internship for a Commercial Marine Operator Intern in San Antonio, TX. You will support real-time voyages for time-chartered vessels, coordinating with captains, brokers, and terminals to keep ships and cargoes on track.

You will gain exposure to marine vetting, port management, and the commercial aspects of marine operations under a dedicated mentor.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in maritime-related field.
• Concurrent enrollment for the duration of the experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support real-time voyages for time-chartered vessels and manage day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with Captains, Brokers, Chartering, Trading, Scheduling, and Terminals.
• Gain exposure to Marine Vetting and Port Management.
• Balance shadowing with hands-on voyage management and project work.
• Report to the Commercial Marine Operations Manager and work with a mentor.
