Job summary

MacGregor, based in Seattle, seeks a hands-on Service Technician with hydraulic expertise to repair and maintain shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and RoRo equipment at client sites worldwide.

Travel up to 80% and operate in a dynamic, multicultural environment. A high school diploma or GED and fluent English are required; prior merchant/maritime experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic maintenance and repairs on shipboard cranes, winches, hatch covers, steering gears and RoRo equipment.
• Handle advanced equipment repairs and conduct breakdown analysis.
• Document work schedules and completed tasks accurately.
• Manage service reports, time sheets and travel expenses.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety rules and MacGregor standards.
