Job summary

Chefman, a leader in small kitchen appliances, seeks a Director of Overseas Manufacturing and Quality to bridge Mahwah product teams with overseas factories. You will personally lead factory floor operations, drive quality and yield improvements, and own the cost-to-delivery balance across multiple sites.

You will travel extensively to China, build a high-performance team of engineers, and shape manufacturing strategy for scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on leadership across manufacturing floors and factories.
• Proven ability to drive quality, yield, and profitability through partner relationships.
• Strong root-cause problem-solving and continuous improvement with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead overseas manufacturing strategy across partner network from tooling to high-volume mass production.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Industrial Design to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Maintain consistent SOPs and quality standards across all manufacturing partners.
• Stay close to daily production on assembly lines and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop reporting systems to give leadership visibility into yield and production trends.
• Lead structured root-cause investigations and implement durable solutions with factory teams.
• Oversee manufacturing cost, efficiency, and profitability improvements.
