Job summary

USP seeks a seasoned technical leader to guide MedSuRe and related programs, driving end-to-end execution across matrixed teams in a global health manufacturing context. The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and strategic alignment with donor objectives.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, shape technical standards, and engage with stakeholders to advance public health standards globally.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, public health, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience, including leadership in pharmaceutical, biotech, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, tech transfer, scale-up, process validation, and regulatory pathways.
• Proven experience leading complex programs or portfolios across multiple workstreams.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end technical leadership on MedSuRe and other assigned programs, setting technical direction.
• Oversee technical execution through matrixed teams, ensuring milestones, quality, and performance.
• Establish and uphold technical standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across programs.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, escalating critical issues to the Department Head as needed.
• Monitor and report on technical performance, milestones, and risks to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement across technical approaches and delivery models.
