Overview

Senior Technical Director, Global Manufacturing Programs, serves as a strategic technical leader for MedSuRe Africa and other assigned global health manufacturing initiatives. This role provides end-to-end technical leadership, translating organizational and donor-driven strategies into executable program plans, and ensuring consistent delivery against technical, timeline, and stakeholder objectives.

As a senior leader, s/he is accountable for overseeing technical execution across multidisciplinary teams. This includes establishing technical direction, aligning work plans and milestones, managing risk, and ensuring quality and coherence across manufacturing, regulatory, market access, and related program components.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical advisor to the Head of Global Pharmaceutical Programs, influencing program strategy, prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Represent the organization externally, leading or contributing to engagements with donors, partners, and peer institutions, and strengthening strategic relationships that advance programmatic and institutional goals.
• Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams; navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments with credibility and clarity.
• Contribute to proposal efforts that advance the department's strategic growth.
