Veeco is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations in San Jose to lead a high‑performing manufacturing organization for laser annealing and lithography products. This onsite role reports to the VP of Global Operations and drives strategic planning, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement across supply chains and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management with 12+ years in operations leadership.
• Experience with Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, 8D and data analytics.
• Experience leading large teams (>30 people) in complex capital equipment manufacturing.
• Strong financial acumen and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Direct Sub-assembly, Assembly, and Test teams to meet objectives.
• Foster world-class safety culture with proactive safety focus.
• Achieve world-class quality metrics for in-box and out-of-box quality.
• Ensure on-time shipments and meeting customer commitments.
• Establish budget and resource plan for site manufacturing operations.
