Job summary

Apple is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE) to lead development and implementation of high precision mechanical manufacturing processes across our worldwide supply base. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with Industrial Design, Product Design, and Manufacturing Design partners as well as suppliers to deliver end-to-end manufacturing solutions.

You'll ensure design features meet quality, cost, yield, capacity, and environmental goals while driving continuous improvement on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development or related roles
• Ability to travel 25%+
• Hands-on approach to engineering and problem-solving
• Self-starter who learns quickly and adapts to new solutions
• Communicates technical information clearly to diverse audiences
• Employs project management tools to plan and track work
• Experience on the shop floor or with cosmetic parts is helpful
• Experience with design, data prep and simulation software for additive manufacturing
• BS or higher in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or related fields
