Job summary

Dana Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Controls/Automation Engineer to help develop the manufacturing controls architecture and approve equipment for production lines. The role focuses on ensuring successful global launches of capital equipment for new automation programs.

Responsibilities include PLC programming, process technology development, and benchmarking to maintain state-of-the-art manufacturing methods across Dana’s centers. Domestic and international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing controls processes.
• Experience programming in Siemens and Rockwell.
• Low and high-volume production experience.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Willingness to work extended or irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Implements equipment, automation, and facility strategies to support advanced process development in manufacturing centers.
• Leads development of process technologies for long-term product roadmaps.
• Edge benchmarking for state-of-the-art manufacturing methods and processes.
• Write and debug PLC logic for content, error-proofing, and data collection.
• Support AMR launches at Dana facilities and customer programs.
