Job summary

Ford Motor Company invites a senior leader to direct the design and verification strategy for Variable Braking Systems, driving manufacturing best practices and new program development at critical engineering milestones.

The role leads global teams, owns hardware/software integration from virtual phase through prototyping and launch, and drives TVM initiatives to achieve EBIT targets while expanding electronics and software content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering.
• 6+ years in design and release of vehicle systems or components.
• 10+ years of automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead global teams across regions (NA, Europe, South America, Australia, China).
• Own hardware/software system integration from virtual phase to launch.
• Manage variable braking commodity cost and tooling to hit EBIT targets.
• Drive year-over-year cost-saving initiatives (TVM).
• Ensure lifetime quality (36 months in service).
• Develop 1-, 3-, 5-year department strategies aligned with Underbody Systems Engineering.
• Manage annual departmental budgets and forward-year outlooks.
• Shape system selections for new programs focusing on electronic brake booster, ESC, and sensors.
