Job summary

PSA BDP, a member of the PSA Group, is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our growing international development organization based in Houston, TX or Philadelphia, PA. This hands-on leadership role will guide a team delivering logistics software powering global freight and supply chain operations.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture, and modernize legacy frameworks while working with stakeholders across regions. Fluent English and strong communication required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar, mentoring development teams.
• Strong hands-on in Java or PHP; both preferred.
• Experience shipping logistics software and leading agile delivery.
• Understanding of modern software architecture and patterns.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL, plus performance analysis.
• End-to-end development lifecycle in an agile environment.
• Knowledge of change management, source control (Git), and CI/CD.
• Led agile teams and managed delivery against commitments.
• Excellent analytical, planning and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; ability to work in a global matrix.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team delivering logistics software with clear tech standards.
• Provide hands-on direction — architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Plan team work in agile delivery, balancing velocity with maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Coach engineers through feedback and career growth planning.
• Define engineering metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage capacity, estimation, and resourcing in a distributed delivery model.
• Drive modernization of frameworks and patterns without disrupting operations.
• Ensure CI/CD, testing, and code quality practices are followed.
• Communicate trade-offs and timelines to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Navigate global stakeholders and coordinate cross-region delivery.
