Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Logistics Project Manager to design, manage, and optimize solutions that keep goods moving. You will lead start-ups and ongoing projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence while meeting KN and customer objectives.

Responsibilities include building and updating project plans, controlling scope and risks, facilitating meetings, reporting progress, and coordinating transition costs. You may supervise team members on assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of management experience in a warehouse environment or as a Project Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage work plans, timelines, multiple priorities, and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, peers, and senior management.
• Proven leadership, business acumen, operational knowledge, problem-solving ability, professional demeanor, organization, and follow-through.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems (WMS/TMS) and financial reporting systems.
• Six Sigma certification and knowledge of Lean program methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn the client’s business and warehouse/distribution operations to support a seamless transition to the K+N warehouse start-up and ongoing operations.
• Maintain and update project plans that support K+N and customer objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Build strong client relationships, manage expectations, and represent K+N in meetings with customers, consultants, vendors, and other external parties.
• Maintain project scope, change control, issues, risks, mitigation plans, and escalation processes to maintain project effectiveness.
• Provide timely status reports and document project results, including scope, timelines, resource usage, deliverables, transition and training costs, and budget performance.
• Be the main point of contact for leadership escalations
