Kerry Search Partners is assisting a confidential client, a large global science and healthcare organization, in a retained search for a Global Transportation, Procurement Director. The role oversees roughly $1B in annual transportation spend across all modes and leads a team of 8-10 direct reports, partnering with senior executives to drive enterprise logistics strategy and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of transportation/logistics leadership experience.
• Experience managing a complex, multi-modal global transportation network.
• Strong negotiation skills and track record of P&L leadership and cost reduction.
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year enterprise logistics strategy aligned to growth, cost optimization, and sustainability.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize carrier portfolio, capacity, and total cost of ownership.
• Establish and drive operational excellence through standardized processes and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Build and optimize enterprise logistics network strategies for efficiency and scalability.
• Lead a high-performing team to deliver Annual Operating Plan targets through disciplined execution.
• Deliver measurable cost savings and margin improvement through analytics and optimization.
• Lead executive-level business reviews, translating data into strategic insights and action plans.
• Develop and govern enterprise carrier management programs, including supplier segmentation and scorecards.
