Job summary

MIDWEST EQUIPMENT SALES. LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking a Global Transportation Analyst to manage international inbound and domestic outbound shipments, focusing on ocean container management, U.S. import compliance, and cost control.

You will work with suppliers, brokers, and carriers to ensure on-time delivery, accurate HTS classification, and compliant documentation, while analyzing freight, evaluating RFPs, and reporting KPI trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
3+ years in transportation, international logistics, or freight management.
HTS classification and U.S. Customs experience preferred.
Experience with international container freight and imports preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage international inbound and domestic outbound shipments, including ocean containers.
Coordinate inbound container shipments from origin through customs clearance.
Monitor container milestones and regulatory changes affecting landed cost.
Lead RFPs, rate analysis, and carrier selection for inbound/outbound.
Develop KPI reporting on freight spend and carrier performance.
