Midwest Equipment Sales is seeking a Global Transportation Analyst to manage international inbound and domestic outbound shipments, focusing on ocean containers, HTS classification, and compliance. You will coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years in transportation/logistics, strong data skills in Excel and ERP systems, and hands-on experience with HTS and customs rules.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain or logistics.
• 3+ years of experience in transportation, international logistics, or freight management.
• Experience with HTS classification and U.S. Customs requirements.
• Proven ability to manage international ocean shipments and carrier relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and track international inbound and domestic outbound shipments, including ocean containers.
• Coordinate inbound international container shipments from origin through ocean transit to final delivery.
• Monitor container milestones from booking to delivery and customs clearance.
• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, and 3PLs.
• Maintain import documentation, HTS classification, and customs compliance.
• Support and lead transportation RFPs, rate analysis, and carrier selection.
• Develop reporting on freight spend, landed cost, and carrier performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining compliance.
• Communicate shipment status and potential supply disruptions proactively.
• Negotiate with carriers and manage performance metrics.
