Job summary

HL-GA Battery Company LLC seeks a Logistics Specialist I to support shipping responsibilities and provide analytical and operating support for logistics activities. You will initiate carrier quotes, assess carrier capabilities, and recommend options to meet customer requirements.

You will coordinate with Korean-speaking stakeholders, manage outbound shipments, track deliveries, and contribute to process improvements in a predominantly office-based role within a manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant or related experience
• Strong knowledge of procedures as they relate to material flow.

Responsibilities

• Execute all logistical operations and responsibilities in the field, ensuring efficient coordination and timely delivery of required services and resources
• Coordinate with Korean-speaking customers, suppliers, and global HQ to support logistics planning, shipment execution, and issue resolution
• Determine most efficient means of shipping considering urgency, cost, and carrier capabilities
• Maintain records for outbound shipments and analyze shipping data
• Track and troubleshoot shipment deliveries and provide confirmations
• Assist in identifying improvements in shipping/receiving functions
• Assist in developing shipping/receiving processes and procedures
• Support OTD & metric achievement, expediting, tracking & reporting
• Verify availability of products and manufacturing lead times meet customer requirements
• Provide planning analysis to support decision making
• Publish and present service and inventory metrics
• Collaborate with business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts
• Coordinate with manufacturing to align to business requirements and inventory targets
• Manage working/non-working inventories to maintain compliance
• Flexible with work hours including planning with global HQ
• Maintain 5S3R standards at the worksite
• Perform other duties as assigned
